About Me

Hello!

I’m Mrs. Jinkins, CAVE science teacher for grades 6-12. I'm heading into my sixth year at CAVE—and eighth year teaching overall—and I am so excited to dive into a year of experiments, questions, and discoveries with all my students.

My Journey to the Classroom (It Had a Plot Twist!)

My own career path was an experiment! I started college on a pre-med track, earning degrees from UW-Marathon County and UW-Stevens Point with the goal of working in the medical field.

However, a funny thing happened while I was substitute teaching—I discovered that my real passion wasn't just studying science, but sharing the thrill of discovery  and learning with students. I knew I had found my true calling. I refocused my mission on education and am proud to be a lifelong learner where I bring the following qualifications to the classroom:

  • Master of Science in Education

  • Teaching Licenses (Broadfield Science, Biology, Chemistry & Math)

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology

Life Beyond the Classroom

I live in central Wisconsin with my husband, Brandon. We’re busy raising three wonderful and very energetic young children! You can usually find our family soaking up the Wisconsin outdoors.  We’re also big fans of our home teams—Go Packers and Brewers!

Let's Explore

I believe science should be hands-on, curious, and fun. I can't wait to get to know each of my students and families and see what we can discover together!
